Keywords: Non-manufacturing industry Transportation / Mobility

The West Japan branch of Urban Renaissance Agency (UR), which provides rental housing in Japan, and Times 24, a subsidiary of Park 24 Co. Ltd. that specializes in car sharing, jointly announced on December 27, 2011, that they would start a full-scale launch of "Time Plus," a car sharing service, to rental housing operated by UR's West Japan branch.

Beginning in December 2010, UR and Times 24 tentatively introduced the car sharing service at two housing complexes in Osaka Prefecture. Given its popularity, UR and Times 24 decided to introduce "Times Plus" on a full scale, expanding its service area to twenty-three housing complexes in Osaka, Hyogo, Kyoto, and Nara prefectures.

The service is now available to tenants of and residents near UR rental housing. Membership cards are issued free of charge to UR tenants, and all members can use "Times Plus" stations across Japan.
