WelSelf Inc., a Japanese web development and management company, released in July 2012 a website providing marketing services to freelancers and hobbyists looking to sell their services.

Anyone who opens an account on the site can sell and buy services for a fixed fee of 500 yen (about U.S.$6.50). Services include portraiture, copywriting, and translation.

The company's mission is to "create a world where individuals can write their own life stories." As its first step, the company has developed a site where anyone can put their special skills to use and experience the world of business. Based on the idea that the essence of business is to exchange value, to be useful to others, and to be thankful for one another, the company aims to make the world a more fulfilling place to live.
