Ricoh Co., a major Japanese manufacturer of office equipment and electronics, added two product series to its imagio line of multifunction digital copiers on December 10, 2007. Both series have standard and up-grade models, and the imagio MP C7500 series prints 60 pages in color and 75 in black and white in one minute, while the MP C6000 series prints 50 in color and 60 in black and white in one minute. Their warm-up time has been cut down to about one fifth of conventional models' by allowing image fixing at lower temperatures and improving the thermal conductivity of the fixing mechanism.

Their typical electric consumption (TEC), about half of conventional models', meets TEC standards for copiers under the Green Purchasing Law of Japan, the International Energy Star Program, the RoHS Directive (EU directive on the restriction of the use of certain hazardous substances in electrical and electronic equipment), and the Japanese Eco-Mark Program.

The two new series also feature enhanced faxing functions, and thus can serve as the main machine in offices by integrating office machines. Their higher quality pictures also satisfy diverse small-lot printing needs.
