Kyocera Releases Monitor for Home Solar Power Generation System

On October 1, 2006, Kyocera Corp., a Japanese manufacturer of electronic components and photovoltaic systems, started marketing the ECONONAVIT ii, a wireless color LCD monitor for home solar systems.

ECONONAVIT is a remote monitor that tracks and displays the performance of a home solar system at any location in a house. Equipped with an energy-saving monitor function, ECONONAVIT ii is capable of graphically displaying the energy saving achievements of users when a monthly power consumption target is preset. It also automatically displays useful information on energy saving, and aims to raise the sense of commitment to energy conservation, cost savings and contributions to the environment.

With bundled software for power management that allows linkage between the monitor and a PC, data on power generation performance and power consumption can be automatically stored on the PC.
