The Wakatsuku Association actively assists youth in the Tohoku region of Japan, and has been running a portal website since March 23, 2012, named the "Tohoku 1000 Reconstruction Projects," to provide information on aid and reconstruction projects in the disaster-stricken areas.

On this site, information can be searched by project theme, region or keyword. As interviews of the organizations are also posted on this site, organization activities can be checked in detail. There were 769 projects as of June 27, 2013, including projects launched by 600 people supported by the Cabinet Office's project to create employment for the disaster-hit areas. Clicking the "favorite button" for a project of interest supports each project's organizers, and an increase in the number of clicks for a project provides motivation. The total number of favorite clicks is now over 50,000.

Projects in the portal websitehttp://www.japanfs.org/search/scb.cgi vary, and include one to provide safe play areas for children in areas that lost playgrounds, and one to organize outdoor music festivals to support the stricken areas through music.
