Fuji Xerox Wins Energy Conservation Award for 7 Years Running

Fuji Xerox Co., Ltd. won the Agency for Natural Resources and Energy Director General's Prize for fiscal 2005 at the 16th Energy Conservation Awards Ceremony hosted by the Energy Conservation Center of Japan on February 1, 2006.

The prize went to Fuji Xerox's range of multifunctional digital color devices, including the ApeosPort/DocuCentre C7550 I, to which newly developed technologies such as fuser and exposure devices were applied to achieve significant energy savings. Fuji Xerox's overall energy saving technology was highly praised and led to the seventh successive win, setting a record in the industry.

Fuji Xerox's past award-winning products include multifunctional color and monochrome devices, photocopiers, and low- to high-speed printers. These achievements can be attributed to the firm's committed effort to develop a wide range of energy-saving products to help its customers reduce power consumption.

The officer in charge expressed renewed determination, saying, "As we continue to receive awards, more challenges are identified and free discussions flow, creating a productive atmosphere throughout our product development departments. We intend to continue our efforts to become the top energy-saving company to meet the social needs."
