NGO to Educate Companies on Environmental Conservation

Caught in a dilemma choosing between profits and nature protection? The Nature Conservation Society of Japan, a non-governmental organization (NGO) that conducts ecological surveys and other conservation-related activities, will start a series of seminars on nature conservation and corporate social responsibility.

With its background in conservation, NACS-J will provide the latest information on issues relating to corporate activity and nature conservation by using its network of relevant experts from NGOs, the media, the government, and academia to identify possible solutions and lend useful, comprehensive know-how relevant to corporate activities.

The seminar series will focus on practical application of the latest trends in the natural sciences and conservation, corporate social responsibility, risk management, wildlife observation and environmental education. It is drawing attention as an effort by an NGO to work with businesses to solve their dilemma in choosing between profits and environment in planning development projects, etc.
