Local Community Cafe Opens in Saga City

Self Management, a general foundation offering local supporting activities and personnel training in Saga City, Saga Prefecture, Japan, launched a local community cafe called Taiwa Cafe Inaka-no Kyujitsu on March 2, 2013, as a civic support project.

The cafe aims to be welcoming and to maintain a relaxed atmosphere for conversation. It was established to encourage relationships between individuals by socializing problems and resolutions. To build a mutually supportive society and ease loneliness, the cafe is expected to become a warm and safe place, like a relative's home, for various people irrespective of whether their particular needs.

The cafe will aim be a place, in particular, for people who feel uneasy in their everyday lives or in their social lives, as well as their families, to talk to one another about their difficulties.
