Candle Night Summer Solstice 2008 -- June 21 to July 7, 2008.
Turn off the lights, and take it slow, for two hours from 8 to 10 p.m., on the evenings of June 21 to July 7, 2008.
Candle Night encourages people to turn off the lights and to spend some quality time in the candlelight.
JFS is an official partner of the initiative.
In accordance with the G8 Hokkaido Toyako Summit in Japan, an extended Candle Night Summer Solstice 2008 will last from June 21(Sat) to July 7 (Mon)

Changing Landscapes: Towards a Sustainable Economy in Asia
17-18 June 2008 | Seoul, Republic of Korea
UNEP Finance Initiative will be jointly hosting a special two-day
conference with the Principles for Responsible Investment (PRI) and the
UN Global Compact, the United Nations' three leading
sustainability-driven public private partnerships.
The conference will offer a unique platform for dialogue between
financiers, investors and businesses at a high-level joint afternoon
session along with a special Gala dinner. During the remainder of the
two-day conference, UNEP FI will offer workshops that will focus on
sustainable finance and delve into the latest thinking and current
issues in sustainable finance in an Asian context. The event is aimed at
the finance sector, policy makers, academia and civil society.
