Facial Treatment Also Aims to Beautify Earth

TBC Group Co., a major Japanese spa treatment company, launched a new facial treatment on March 1, 2010. A portion of the proceeds will go towards tree-planting activities abroad. This is the first attempt of its kind in the beauty industry in Japan.

The target service is themed "Greening the Earth", a facial treatment called "Beauty Bestowed by the Forest." A portion of the sales will go towards reforestation projects at the foot of Mount Kilimanjaro in Tanzania, Africa by the non-government organization TEACA, via the Take Action Foundation, whose representative of the board of directors is former Japanese soccer player Hidetoshi Nakata. At the same time they will also issue customers with proof of taking part in this contribution to society.

This is TBC's first eco project of 2010 in collaboration with Take Action. Under the slogan, "One Beauty Treatment -> One Action," TBC Group Co. is proposing that people beautify themselves and the earth through beauty treatments that green the planet.
