World Student Environmental Summit Held in Kyoto
From June 20 to 22, 2008 the World Student Environmental Summit in Kyoto will be held at Doshisha University, At the Summit, students invited from 11 countries will discuss how to realize a sustainable society from the standpoint of global citizens, compile a written opinion and submit it to Japan's Ministry of the Environment on the last day of the summit.

The summit is held by the voluntary executive committee organized by students in Doshisha University and other universities in Kansai region, Kyoto Prefecture and members of the environmental organizations. At this summit, participants will discuss new technologies to curb global warming and ideas for specific efforts by students aiming to realize sustainable development.
