METI Issues Environmental Accounting Workbook
Japan's Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI) published an Environmental Management Accounting Technique Workbook on June 28, 2002.

This workbook is focused mainly on internal environmental accounting (environmental management accounting), which METI has promoted by commissioning the Japan Environmental Management Association for Industry to carry out further study and research over a three-year period.

This workbook teaches various environmental accounting methods, such as an environmentally-conscious cost management system, material flow cost accounting and life cycle costing, illustrating them with actual case studies.
