Overseas Municipalities with Ambitious Targets to Reduce CO2/GHG Emissions

Keywords: Climate Change Local government

Many municipalities around the world have set ambitious targets to cut carbon dioxide (CO2) or greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions in order to prevent further climate change. By using this list to spread the word about exemplary efforts, we would like to help build this momentum, from city to city, and from local to central governments.

If you may have any information on municipalities' ambitious targets not included in this list, please share the information with us and provide the source (URL) using this online form. After reviewing input, we will add it to the list.

* We added Austin, Yarra, Utrecht with their ambitious targets.

* We added Lyon.(2012/11/27)
