Daiwa House Markets Power System Combining Storage Batteries and Solar Panels

Keywords: Eco-business / Social Venture Environmental Technology Non-manufacturing industry Renewable Energy

Daiwa House Industry Co., a major Japanese home builder, on April 1, 2011, began marketing a power supply system called "SOLAR STORAGE," which combines a portable lithium ion battery storage system with solar panels.

The system is a combination of mobile or fixed 520-watt solar panels, and "Power Yiile", a portable lithium ion battery storage system that can be used as a portable power source and an emergency power source during blackouts.

Power Yiile can directly store electricity generated by the solar panels in the daytime for use in emergencies such as disasters and blackouts. Thus, the system can be used as an independent power supply system that does not rely on a commercial power supply during blackouts.
