About JFS logo
2002/Aug/26
Tsutomu Iijima

The motif of the Japan for Sustainability logo is the " mizuhiki", a Japanese traditional red-and-white string used to wrap gifts.

The shape indicates the flow of water, or circulation. The knot indicates the bonds between us.

The logo was chosen to represent our hope for a positive, shared future.
